Group 2 Judging results from PSH TWPS vs HKPSA Creativity winner: darcy Reason: Not much to argue about. Wah had a very "normal" combo with very basic tricks and linkages. He attempted to add some new elements into the combo but it was pretty much a failure. The hand cross at 0?05 is basically pointless, the few left hand interaction moves starting 0:11 is nothing exceptional and the executions are not very great. The arm involvement is also very basic and nothing creative. Darcy's combo on the other hand, was sticking to the theme more (we understand that theme is only a "tie breaker"). It showed a whole new aspect of pen spinning, the style is very unique. Even though the execution and difficulty is not very great as well, but it deserves to win over Wah. Control winner: Kin Reason: Evolution's combo was very good in control, it contains fair amount of power tricks and he performed them very well. However, it was a bit low on creativity. No new elements were shown in that combo. Kin's combo was in fact not very great in control, for example at 0:12 the second inverse shadow he had to move his hand a lot to keep it in position. Also at 0:04 after the 2 pinky around the pen was a bit out of control. In terms of control, evolution is better. However, considering that the theme is only a tie breaker, the overall winner should still be kin. First of all, he was using a much lighter pen with very little momentum, that's what caused the few errors. Also, his creativity in linkage is amazing, so overall kin wins. Tag winner: x1213 + BaoO Reason: Tony and winky's tag was not very great, especially winky's part. His combo was very boring, no new element, no unique style, nothing that really demonstrates a world class spinner. Tony's combo was much better with many power tricks. But due to poor camera quality, it's hard to tell his execution. From what we saw, his hand was moving all over the screen, the control aspect of his combo is very poor. X1213 and BaoO had a great tag, both very strong combos. Not much creativity, but in terms of combo structure, smoothness, difficulty or style, the TWPS tag definitely wins. THPSC vs BPSC Difficulty winner: supawit127 Reason: Really don't need to say much, supawit127's combo was much better on difficulty, as well as execution, creativity, smoothness. Voltaic's combo was good, but supawit127's combo is just great. The only hard tricks we can see from Voltaic's combo are the hai tua, and maybe the bust finisher. These tricks are considered the "easy ones" in supawit127's combo. So from any aspect, supawit127 wins. Double hand winner: BaiMai Reason: This is a very hard battle to judge, both very fantastic combos. Knuckles's combo showed many different aspects including 2H2P, 1H2P, 2H1P, etc. All very well performed. The transitions between hands are very smooth, the flow of the pens is great. On the other hand, BaiMai's combo was very high on difficulty, containing many hard left hand tricks. Because both combos are at the same level, we decided BaiMai deserves to win because his film had fewer flaws than knuckles. Knuckles's combo had a few major problems, one is the transition between 1h2p to 2h2p, the pen basically dropped on the desk and he picked up again, that was a big let-down to the flow. Also, during 2h2p part, his left hand was off screen by a lot, a major mistake. So overall, BaiMai had a better combo. Tag winner: Littleboy + Gisele8 Reason: Another very close battle, Dongza + 8 was good on difficulty and smoothness. They used many "Thai-style" power tricks that really demonstrated their ability to perform hard tricks. However they were very low on creativity, not much new linkage or new tricks in there. On the other hand, Littleboy and gisele8's tag was more even, they were good on all aspect of pen spinning. Especially littleboy's combo, it was one of the best. Many new concepts, shows high level of difficulty, great smoothness, and unique linkages. So overall, we think BPSC tag is better.
