Good songs for an important combo or for a collab are ones like trance. One that dont haveany lyrics (a few is fine) but mainly consists of beats .

yes, i especially prefer collabs that use japanese instrumental artists like SHIKI, Phantasma, OSTER Project, void, to name a few.
I used this one once before, it was pretty good and one other song that is not in video.
Songs that aren't under copyright? Like Fantasie-Impromtu (used by nhk_9 in his Troposphere Promo vid).

(almost)anything from the touhou soundtrack, love the game and the soundtrack <3

This man is very correct. It's all about how the editor edits the clips to match the style of the song. IMO, the reason why people prefer only certain genres of music in collabs is because no one has tried editing a collab to a "bad" song.
