Tombow mod

There are currently two main ways to make the "Tombow mod": a simple modification by SubParSpinner and a more complicated mod based on an unpublished pen mod by UPSB member, Swifter. The first mod is much heavier than the second.

Tombow mod (SubParSpinner)

Materials

• Tombow ABT (1 body, 2 large caps)
• grips: Dong-A Anyball / Papermate Profile / Papermate Star Gels Max

Construction

1. Remove the large cap from one of the ABT Markers.
2. Place large cap over the smaller cap on the other marker.
3. Add as many grip sections as you want over the large caps.

Tombow mod (Swifter-based)

Materials

• Tombow ABT (1 body, 2 large caps)
• grips: Dong-A Anyball / Papermate Profile / Papermate Star Gels Max

Construction

1. Remove the tips from both sides of the marker.
2. Remove the back plug.
3. Remove the ink tube, flush out the barrel with water to remove any ink inside.
4. Cut the back plug so only the part that’s inside the pen + the border is left. Press it back into the pen.
5. Put the large caps over both sides and add some Anyball grips.
