Team Composition
Each team is composed of six (6) spinners. These spinners include two (2) substitutes. In addition, each team has a manager, who's in change of communicating with the officials (i.e. Crash) and has to form the lineup of his team.
Note: the manager can also be one of the spinners.
Group stages
There are ten (10) teams participating in the competition. They are divided into two (2) groups of five (5). During the first two rounds of the tournament, each team will be battling against the four (4) other teams of their group.
Every round, the manager of each team will secretly send a lineup to the official. The managers must decide which of their spinners will be fighting against which team. In other words, each manager will be assigning each of his/her four (4) spinners to each other four (4) teams in their group.
Once everybody have submitted their lineup, we can then know what all the matchups are. They are then revealed to the public. These are single matches.
Once the results of the matches are out, we assign a ranking to each team for its group. 3 points is awarded for every win, 1 for every draw, 0 for a defeat.
After this process is done twice (two (2) rounds), we take the best two (2) teams of each group to advance to the semi-finals.
During the semi-finals, the best team from the group 1 (1A) will fight the second best team from group 2 (2B) and vice versa (2A vs 1B).
Note: all 4 matches of each round is played at the same time!
Tiebreaker
In the event that several teams have the number of points, we go with the team who has accumulated the most cumulative judge votes.
Knockout stages
In the semi-finals and the finals, the teams are fighting head-to-head and the format changes. Each team sends 4 spinners to battle the other team's 4. To do so, each manager must secretly send their lineup to the officials.
The battle is divided into 3 matches: 2 singles and 1 double, hence 4 spinners in total. The managers must decide who takes part of what match.
Once all lineups are received, we compute the matchups and reveal them in public.
To win the battle, you must simply win 2 out of 3 matches. We will ensure that no tie will be possible.
Video format
For single videos: 25 seconds max. For double videos: Each spinner in the pair must spin at least 10 seconds. The total video length is (10*2) 20 seconds minimum and 55 seconds maximum.
Substitution
Every round, only 4 out of the 6 spinners in each team are participating. The other 2 act as substitutes for that round. Notice that you do not have to use the same spinners as substitutes for every round.
If a spinner is unable to submit his/her video for one round, the manager may ask permission to the officials to replace him/her with a substitute.
Schedule
Each round last exactly 4 weeks (1 month):
- Week 1: Managers must decide and send their lineup.
- Week 2-3: Spinners must film their videos and turn it in.
- Week 4: The videos are revealed and the judges must make their evaluation.
Therefore, the whole tournament last 4 months, since it contains 2 group stage rounds plus the semi-finals and finals (4 rounds total).
