Two Completed RG2T's

This mod was created by Aries and refined by Guitrum

This mod is a great utilization of the RSVP and the G2. It only needs two pens to make it (like the RSVP MX) and both of the pens are available in the US. It is highly customizable and allows the entire barrel to have an insert. It is nicely balanced, easy to make and great to spin.

Construction

R1.JPG
Gather an RSVP and a G2 along with your other materials

Take apart both of the pens. You do not need the cap from the RSVP or the front part of the G2 (though you may want to use the grip)

R3.JPG
Saw off the tip of the RSVP barrel as shown in the picture

Bore a hole in the RSVP backcap so that the tip of the RSVP inktube can pass freely in and out of the hole

R5.JPG
Cut an inch off of the G2 inktube and clean it out with a q-tip. Insert a toothpick into the back of the rsvp inktube and cut it so that 2 centimeters of the toothpick sticks out

Wrap part of an insert around the G2 inktube peice as shown in the picture, securing it with celophane tape

R7.JPG
Insert an insert into the RSVP barrel. Next, wrap an insert around the cut front of the RSVP barrel and wrap a couple of layers of celophane tape around that. The insert should be able to come off of the barrel. Finally, cut the insert at the point where it would cross the bump on the inside of the G2 barrel

Assemble the pieces as shown in the picture

R9.JPG
Wrap some electrical tape around the RSVP inktube right about where shown in the picture. Wrap enough around so that it supports the spring, yet does not rub up against the insert when retracted

Screw off the RSVP back cap, insert the inktube with the spring on it and screw back on the backcap. Test to see if the inktube retracts properly

Clip and file away the clip so that it is flush with the rest of the barrel. Then add on the grips of your choice and you have created an RG2T!
